The Cambus Wallace, Nobby Beach: This the coast’s OG late-night dining spot. Owner Dave Ferry knows that not everybody likes to eat dinner by 7:30 pm, so he opens The CW kitchen until 11:00 pm with its full menu on offer, so you can munch on pan-fried chorizo and crumbed olives until he very-politely asks you to leave around midnight.
Iku Yakitori Bar, Burleigh Heads: For those unaware, Iku does delicious katsu sandos (both chicken and high-end wagyu beef varieties) and they are only available on its late-night menu, which kicks off at 9:30 pm. Do yourself a favour and venture in a little later, order yourself a chicken katsu sando, a miso soup and a nip of whisky – you can thank us later.
Aloha Bar & Dining, Broadbeach: If you find yourself sipping cocktails at this hidden tiki bar in Broadbeach alleyway late at night, then you’ll be happy to know that you can snack while you sip well into the night, with the kitchen slinging everything from piping-hot tonkotsu ramen bowls to delicious pork dumplings until 1:00 am.
Ramen Danbo Southport and Surfers Paradise: If you find yourself wandering through Surfers Paradise (it happens) looking for late feed, Ramen Danbo, which is nestled in the CHOP CHOP precinct, dishes up slurp-worthy bowls of traditional ramen until 10:00 pm during the week and until 1:00 am from Thursday to Sunday. The Southport noodle dispensary also slings the goodness until 10:00 pm seven days per week.
Hellenika, Nobby Beach: You can embrace the concept of late-night dining in classic Greek style at Hellenika – here, dinner bookings are taken as late as 9:45 pm, then you may settle in and feast on lamb, saganaki and kolokithia way into the night.
Aprés Surf, Mermaid Beach: If you’re looking for late-night eats away from the hustle and bustle, then you should make a beeline to Aprés Surf in Mermaid Beach. The small bar is packed with personality, and serves up its full menu until 10:00 pm from Thursday to Saturday nights. Late-night bacon cheeseburger, anyone?
Nineteen at The Star, Broadbeach: This luxe rooftop fine-dining space allows you to wine and dine extra late on Friday and Saturday nights. Table bookings can be made up until 10:45 pm, so if you find yourself craving Patagonian tooth fish and top-shelf caviar late at night, then this is where you’ll want to be.
The Scottish Prince, Palm Beach: Like it’s older brother The Cambus Wallace, southern whisky bar The Scottish Prince serves its delicious menu until 11:00 pm – just in case you get a late-night hankering for scotch eggs with gherkin aioli or marinated sardines with pickled red onion. We often do.
M&G Cafe and Bar, The Star Gold Coast: Sometimes, late at night, a Reuben sandwich seems like the only thing that will hit the spot. M&G Cafe and Bar (short for meet and greet) at The Star Gold Coast provides a non-stop cafe culture, with its tasty menu (including said reuben sambo) served until the wee hours.
