For the second year in a row, Lark Distillery has partnered with renowned Tasmanian patisserie, Jean-Pascal Patisserie, to produce its Christmas Cask Whisky. To formulate the festive drop and its plum pudding taste, French pastry chef Jean-Pascal hand-selects Tasmanian red-wine casks to fill with fruit jus – the same vessels used to make his annual batch of Christmas fruit-mince pies. These festive casks are then emptied and transported to Lark Distillery to be filled with seasonal single-malt spirit – a batch of Christmas goodness, if you will.
Sure to impress avid whisky swillers, the fruit-and-spice concoction has notes of a custard-covered plum pudding, filled with raisins, cinnamon, nutmeg and orange peel. Once your tastebuds are treated to a nip, citrus, spice and mulled wine will warm your palate, blending into apples, cloves and cinnamon. This jolly bottle of booze is the perfect friend to your Christmas Day feasting, or a stellar stocking stuffer for any whisky aficionados in your family.
