Excite your inner child with edible cookie dough from Just Dough It

Licking the bowl when your mum was baking cookies was (is) a real treat but also kind of unsafe when you think about all those raw eggs and uncooked flour you consumed as a kid. Sure, you turned out perfectly fine but thanks to Gold Coast-based company Just Dough It, you needn't take the risk.

If you have a sweet tooth, prepare to be very excited. Just Dough It has created a range of edible cookie dough that will take you right back to your childhood sans the potentially hazardous ingredients. The range is preservative free, egg free and is made using heat-treated flour so it’s totally safe to eat – hurrah! Just Dough It is the brainchild of Zachary Mcfarlane and Caitlynn Henry and came about as the pair got stunk into some store bought cookie dough (the kind that is meant to be cooked) and mused about how great it would be to make a dough that was designed to be eaten ‘raw’. Fast forward a year and you can do just that.

Among the drool-inducing flavours is Strawberry Sass, which is strawberry cheesecake flavoured cookie dough with biscuit crumbs, True Blue, a delicious combination of cookie dough infused with Milo and crushed Tim Tams, and the devilishly decadent Lots of Lovin, a rich mix of cookie dough and brownie dough. They even have gluten free and vegan varieties so everyone can enjoy the deliciousness! The best part? You don’t even have to do a dash into the 7-Eleven in your trackies because Just Dough It deliver direct to your door. Just Dough It also do a DIY Cookie Dough Kit for those who prefer to get hands-on with their dessert.

The Stumble Guide is our comprehensive Gold Coast dining guide with more than 870 places to eat, drink, shop and play.
