Save the reef by cracking open a Great Barrier Beer

Save the reef by cracking open a Great Barrier Beer

It's truly a good day when you learn that you can help the environment by cracking open a beer. In a call to action for Australian beer drinkers, social enterprise The Good Beer Co. has launched Great Barrier Beer to help fund the Australian Marine Conservation Society’s work to protect the Great Barrier Reef from climate change and pollution.

As you know, the Great Barrier Reef, our national treasure and one of the greatest natural wonders of the world, is in danger from warming waters caused by climate change, pollution and industrial development. One of the biggest crusaders of the reef’s future and wellbeing is the Australian Marine Conservation Society – a charity with a small team that relies on volunteers.

So, what do you do to help? You buy a case of Great Barrier Beer, a delicious and crisp Australian lager brewed close to home at Brisbane craft brewery Ballistic Brewing Co. The Good Beer Co, which creates and sells beer to raise funds and awareness for good causes, will donate ten per cent of every case of Great Barrier Beer sold directly to the Australian Marine Conservation Society and its Fight for our Reef campaign. Great Barrier Beer’s recent Pozible campaign was a huge success – check out The Good Beer Co’s website to find out where to get your hands on these ocean-friendly tinnies.

The Stumble Guide is our comprehensive Gold Coast dining guide with more than 870 places to eat, drink, shop and play.
