New food-delivery service Farm2Market brings produce from Australian farmers to your door

With farmers across the country doing it bloody tough, the need for all of us to shop local and direct our pennies toward Australian-grown produce has never been more apparent. With the conveniences of major supermarkets, it can be hard to take the leap and only buy farm-fresh food. Though, the process has been made a little easier with the arrival of Farm2Market on the Gold Coast.

Farm2Market is a fresh-grocery delivery service, which is designed to bring produce direct from Australian farms to homes across the country. The online service works as a platform to connect local farmers and food suppliers with time-poor households that prefer to fill their fridges with local and organic produce. Armed with a background in IT, founder Jordan Pearce designed the platform and its responsive delivery network so that large numbers of people could be reached, giving local farmers the opportunity to expand and thrive in ways that would otherwise be impossible.

With more than 40 local businesses on board already, buyers can find everything from seasonal fruit and vegetables to dairy, nuts and poultry products on offer. While more are set to join the Farm2Market platform over time, you’ll already find businesses like Freeman’s Organic Farm in Currumbin Valley, Mirabrook Pork from Victoria, Australian Natural Food Co, Chasney Estate Olive Oil, Northern New South Wale’s Bio Organic Farm and Byron Bay Olive Company on board. It’s all delivered straight to your door, with delivery fees starting from $10. The service is currently available on the Gold Coast, Brisbane and the Northern rivers area of New South Wales, with plans to expand nationwide in the next year.
