Yes, we acknowledge that sometimes we’re too busy to ensure the first meal of the day is a five-star experience, but making a quality breakfast doesn’t always mean it’s a labour-intensive exercise. Enter granola – an effortlessly simple and endlessly satisfying option that can be dressed up or down, or even largely assembled the night before for expeditious eating when in a hurry. Eden Health Retreat in Currumbin Valley is a holistic hub that looks to nourish, nurture and invigorate mind, body and soul. Its new maple coconut Goodness Granola is a healthy blend of ingredients that are all touted to help increase energy, reduce inflammation and improve digestion and gut health.
Eden’s in-house chef Georgia Barnes has brought together a mix of nutrient-rich sunflower and pumpkin seeds, activated almonds, coconut, gluten-free whole grains, a dash of organic maple syrup, cranberries, and brown-rice puffs, each element adding taste and crunch. The granola can be further elevated to your liking with the addition of extra toppings – Georgia suggests a dollop or two of gut-friendly probiotic yoghurt, a handful of berries, diced mango or sliced bananas would work a treat. Goodness Granola has been so well received that current batches have sold out, however, Eden is taking pre-orders for its next run, which will be shipped on Friday July 23.
