Voting for The Weekend Edition’s annual EAT/drink Awards is now open!

Here at The Weekend Edition, we take our eats and drinks very seriously – and we know that you, our dear readers, do too. So, it's with an incredible amount of excitement that we launch the Gold Coast EAT/drink Awards for 2019. With so many new cafe, restaurant and bar arrivals over the past year, this is set to be our largest reader-voted epicurean poll to date.

After a record number of nominations, we’re glad to let you know that voting for The Weekend Edition Gold Coast’s EAT/drink Awards, proudly supported by our very good friends at Newstead Brewing Co., is now open! Head to the voting page to reveal the list of nominees in each category and vote to make sure your favourite venue gets the accolades they deserve. Make sure you’re subscribed to be the first to know who wins!

The Weekend Edition’s EAT/drink Awards delve into the Gold Coast’s culinary culture to determine locals’ favourite places to eat and play, be it the lazy corner cafe, award-winning restaurant, latest bar or food truck. To make voting easier this year, only the top 20 nominated places have been included in the voting form for each category. It’s you, the locals, who determine the best of the best – so make sure you have your say. Last year’s voting was incredibly tight, so believe us when we say that every single vote counts!

This year we are bringing back our special bonus category – Best Food Porn. This category is voted exclusively on Instagram – all you need to do is take a snap of a drool-worthy dish, post it to Instagram, include the venue name in the comments, tag @theweekendeditiongoldcoast and #TWEFoodPorn.

Ready, set, go! Voting for the 2019 Gold Coast EAT/drink Awards has officially commenced – click here to have your say.

The Stumble Guide is our comprehensive Gold Coast dining guide with more than 870 places to eat, drink, shop and play.
