Southport doughnut bar D Point Ten brings its rounds of goodness to Broadbeach

Foodie fads come and go, but the humble doughnut has truly stood the test of time. In February 2018, local sweets wizards Henry Kim and Dean Jeong opened D Point Ten – a quaint shop in the Southport-Chirn Park precinct dispensing their freshly baked doughnuts alongside specialty coffee. Most days, they completely sell out within hours as local sweet tooths rush in for their fix. So, the duo took the logical next step ...

This week, D Point Ten’s second doughnut-and-coffee outpost opened at the northern end of Broadbeach along the Gold Coast Highway. At around twice the size of its Southport sibling, the new Broadbeach location allows Henry and Dean to keep up with the daily demand from the city’s sweets fiends and cheat-day fanatics, while also giving their loyal nibblers and coffee sippers ample seating to enjoy a moment alone with their doughnut.

The dough-slinging pair are on-site in the kitchen at 3:00 am every morning, hand-making their menu for the masses and filling their cabinet multiple times a day with doughnut flavours like creme brûlée, peanut butter and chocolate, red velvet, Nutella-injected and Oreo, as well as simple creations like plain cinnamon, vanilla-glazed and jam-filled doughnuts. Oh, and there’s specialty brews by Burleigh’s Social Espresso on pour for those after a morning fix. (Side note – it’s one of few places on the southbound Surfers-to-Mermaid stretch where you can actually pull in, grab a coffee, and be on your merry way without diverting off the highway).

Ready for your sugar fix? D Point Ten Broadbeach is now open – scoot over to our Stumble Guide for opening hours, address and contact details.

The Stumble Guide is our comprehensive Gold Coast dining guide with more than 870 places to eat, drink, shop and play.
