For more than three decades, the Atrium Bar has set the scene for post-work wines, cocktails with the crew and countless celebrations. After a brief hiatus she’s back – and boy, is she ready to party. The first thing you need to know about the all-new Atrium, is that it’s not in the same location – it’s actually at the very back of the gaming floor, near the Sports Bar. Debuting a bold new aesthetic and a return to romance (a nod to the countless love stories that blossomed here over the years), the sophisticated new space was envisaged by Plus Architecture to boast retro-luxe vibes with a hint of nostalgia – think plush velvet seating, organic curve forms, pops of pink and Insta-worthy neon. At its heart, the Atrium has always been the place to bust a move, so it makes perfect sense that the new venue is centred around a seriously impressive dance floor with a state-of-the-art sound ceiling that keeps the music centralised above the action, as well as a DJ booth and, of course, a shiny disco ball hovering overhead.
Not to be outdone by its exceptional good looks, the Atrium Bar has also upped the ante when it comes to its bites and beverages with a stellar selection of sips including The Bowie, a sweet-and-sour concoction with apple liqueur and lemon, Breakfast at Tiffany’s with vodka and hints of passionfruit and mango, and the Blossom Martini with gin, lychee and cherry. Rounding out the selection is a bevy of craft and premium beers and wines from Australia and abroad. Those feeling a little peckish can munch on delectable pizzas and snacks such as onion rings with aioli or sundried tomato arancini while groups can indulge in share-style antipasto boards loaded with cured meats, grilled vegetables, olives, fetta and focaccia. The new-look Atrium Bar is set to deliver the same good times that we know and love, with a weekly line-up of entertainment including a mix of DJs and live bands on rotation from Thursday through to Sunday.
