Take a step back in time to when families would gather around the wireless to listen to music and the legendary Nat King Cole, Elvis ‘The King’ Presley and Ol’ Blue Eyes Frank Sinatra reigned supreme at Sanctuary Cove’s Sunday Sounds Retro on Sunday June 24. The Village Green will ring out with soulful tunes from 12:30 pm until early evening as the entertaining Miss Mandy Swings brings her ever-popular fusion of jazz and cabaret to the stage. Accompanied by a live six-piece swing band and a collection of fabulous costumes inspired by the 1940s, Miss Mandy promises to dazzle with tributes to icons including Bette Midler, Judy Garland, Liza Minelli and Ella Fitzgerald.

Afterwards, Sebastiaan and the Retrospects will take the stage performing their eclectic mix of swing, jazz, rock and roll and ballads from crowd favourites Frank, Dean and Roy and Elvis mixed with some Nat King Cole. Alongside sensational live music, Sunday Sounds Retro offers a range of free, family-friendly entertainment and a relaxed alfresco atmosphere so take a seat at one of The Marine Village’s restaurants or order some takeaway, roll out a rug and enjoy the ultimate picnic on The Village Green.
