Level Up Studio + Gallery at The Strand at Coolangatta will showcase the works of local artists at the upcoming group exhibition, Seijaku – tranquility in the midst of activity.

The exhibition will be held from 4 April to 12 May, 2019 and will feature the work of three female artists from the Gold Coast – Olivia Gyne, Kiana Larkins and Bree Sorrell.

Through the use of ocean photography, monochromatic illustration and painting, the artists will invoke a sense of Seijaku, a Japanese aesthetic principle that describes tranquility found in the midst of activity.

The exhibition is open for viewing at the Level Up Studio + Gallery on Level 1 at The Strand from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday to Friday over the next six weeks.

There will also be an opportunity to Meet the Artists with Bree Dalgliesh (Mi Alma Photography) in the gallery on Wednesday 17 April from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm and Olivia Gyene on Wednesday 1 May from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm.

Level Up is an initiative of the City of Gold Coast designed to provide access to art experiences for young people and adults within the local community and beyond.
