Whether you love every single minute or you are counting the minutes until they go back (sometimes both in the same day), Robina Town Centre is dishing up a smorgasbord of school holiday fun for the whole family. These holidays, the centre is setting the challenge bar high so parents can show the kids how it’s done, or simply let them explore the range of fun activities designed to appease makers, bakers and groovy hip shakers.
Ice-cream decorating workshop
The crew at TGI Fridays is inviting kids to unleash their inner dessert-making skills at a cute trolls themed ice-cream workshop this September. For just $10 each, kids can enjoy a 30-minute session where they’ll choose from a range of magically-inspired toppings, including fairy floss (troll hair) and sprinkles (warts) to design their own ice-cream creation. The best bit? They get to eat their creation PLUS each child will receive their very own keepsake apron. Choose from two sessions daily at 10:30 am or 11:15 am from September 21–25. Bookings are essential.

Get fizzy with it
The ever-popular DIY bath bomb making workshops are back at Lush Robina! Kids can get hands-on making their very own bath bomb using the same ingredients that Lush use to make their secret recipe range. This is good, clean fun at its finest with ethically-sourced ingredients such as coloured sea salt, petals and even plastic-free glitter to enhance the fizzy delights. Plus, each child will receive a free take home apron. Cost is $15 per child and is suitable for kids aged six years and older. Sessions will be held daily at 9:00 am, 11:00 am and 1:00 pm from September 28 to October 2. Bookings are essential.
On your bike
If you struggle to motivate the kids to exercise regularly and eat more fruit, Boost Juice might have the answer with the Boost Juice Smoothie Bike Challenge. Kids can hop on board to pedal their way to the perfect smoothie; engaging both effort to exercise and a fitting reward after – a delicious, nutritious Boost Juice smoothie. Kids of all ages will enjoy this one (parents can have a spin too). Cost is $5 per person and it’s suitable for participants aged six years and above. Bookings are essential.
Challenge your kids to a hula-hoop competition
Little hipsters will love the chance to get their Hula Hoop on alongside the Rebel Sports team on The Promenade from September 21–23 at 10:30 am, 11:00 am, 11:30 am and 12:00 pm. Parents are welcome to step in for a spin too, shaking their way right back to the good old days. Cost is $5 per child and includes a Hula Hoop to take home. Bookings are essential.
