If you live on the Gold Coast and enjoy live music, it’s a pretty safe bet that you are already well familiar with Mason Rack Band. The legendary local musician will bring his signature blues/rock flavour to Southport Sharks on Friday August 24 to serenade patrons with his sexy, sultry vocals that have been likened to Tom Waits and Led Zeppelin.

If you haven’t yet caught a set, well, you’re in for a real treat. Mason Rack is a born entertainer – growing up playing percussion at the age of six, progressing to drums at age eight before picking up a guitar and mastering the genre of blues and rock, which is his true passion. His stage performance is an experience in itself. With more than 2000 shows performed including major music festivals throughout Australia and Canada, the musician shows no signs of slowing down. His other influences include Tex Perkins, Jeff Buckley, Ben Harper, Violent Femmes, and Dave Mathews.

Mason Rack is joined by the talents of Jules Keshan on drums and Jamie Roberts on bass. Together, the trio erupt in a magical display of performance, which simply must be seen.
