Fancy a spot of tea? Well, pop your pinky and get ready to sip on nothing but the finest brews and champagne at the InterContinental Sanctuary Cove’s High Tea Immersion. Every Saturday and Sunday from 1:00-4:00 pm, the InterContinental is honouring the High Tea ritual with a decadent and immersive experience crafted alongside the fine teamakers of Tea Forté.
The experience is curated to guide each guest on an opulent culinary journey. Upon arrival, a host will greet you with your very own Tea Forté infused towel and palate-cleansing iced tea piccolo. From there, you can peruse the selection of fine Tea Forté teas on offer while sipping on a glass of NV G.H. Mumm Condon Rouge Brut Champagne. Finally, you can treat your senses to three tiers of sweet and savoury delights, including the likes of spanner crab with saffron mayonnaise, slow-cooked 12-hour Toowoomba beef brisket, salted caramel choux with orchid vanilla tea cream, berry tart with ruby chocolate ganache and coconut and white ginger pear tea mousse with almond cream. Of course, no high tea would be complete without the chance to bite into a freshly made scone with jam and cream!
This elegant high tea treat starts at $57 per person and includes sweet and savoury delights, a coffee or a tea. You can upgrade for an extra $17 to receive a glass of champagne on arrival. If one glass won’t do you can upgrade to 2 hours of bottomless rosé for an additional $13 per person. Bookings are essential and can be made online via the InterContinental website.
