VIVA Surfers Paradise rocks and rolls into town for ten days of toe-tapping beats

A raft of music legends will be rocking and rolling around town when the annual VIVA Surfers Paradise hits the beachfront from July 12–21. If you've been swept up by movies like Bohemian Rhapsody and Rocketman of late, then you'll want to throw on your best dancing shoes and shuffle your way into the precinct to catch a glimpse of the stars. Well, their lookalikes, but you get the gist.

Revellers can enjoy ten days of free and ticketed music events, with the famed annual tribute-artist festival bringing hits from legendary icons (both past and present) to the seaside stages throughout Surfers Paradise. Spanning multiple genres and decades, VIVA Surfers Paradise’s mammoth line-up will have something to suit all musical tastes – so scope out the official program and pencil in your favourites. You’ll be treating your ears to iconic scores from Freddie Mercury, Elton JohnElvis Presley, The Beatles and more!

The VIVA Street Parade on Saturday July 13 is a spectacle not to be missed, showcasing dancers, musicians, tribute artists and all-ages entertainment. You can take a stroll along the Surfers Paradise foreshore and discover an impressive array of classic cars across the decades, or for the ultimate VIVA experience – you can declare your love and renew your vows on the beachfront with the coast’s own Elvis tribute artist and marriage celebrant Dean Vegas. Fun!

VIVA Surfers Paradise will take over various sections of the precinct, from the beachfront to Cavill Mall and surrounding bars and restaurants from July 12–21. For a look at the full festival program and locations of performances, head to the Surfers Paradise website.
