After a pandemic-induced hiatus, the team from The Village Markets has announced the return of the beloved Gold Coast-born fashion market and creative hub. This Sunday June 7, you'll be able to wander through TVM's dreamy stalls, nibble on food-truck nosh and listen to live music in the winter sunshine. Oh, how we've missed this!

While 2020 has been a wild ride, the wheels are ever-so-slowly starting to turn again – and we’re delighted that The Village Markets and its community of stallholders will be back in action at Burleigh Heads State School from 8:00 am this Sunday morning. A few weeks later, TVM will return to Brisbane with its Stones Corner market kicking off on Sunday June 28. Despite temporarily closing the renowned market amid COVID-19 restrictions, the TVM team kept busy by launching its virtual Insta Market in a bid to keep its stallholders in the spotlight. With restrictions easing across the state, the markets have now been allowed to physically return – and it’s perfect timing for those of us preparing our post-pandemic wardrobes!

Now, it’ll still be the same TVM that we all know and love, with fashion, arts, homewares, vintage, beauty and lifestyle brands to line the precinct, along with local food trucks, live musicians and a killer community vibe. Though, as with everything in 2020, we can expect some things to be a little different this time around to make sure everyone there is safe and comfortable. There will be greater distances between the stalls and racks, as well as strict monitoring, sanitising stations, signage and instructions to ensure all attendees and individual stalls are well within the current restrictions. Just be sure to check out the TVM Instagram page for must-know info before you head along – otherwise, be patient, keep your distance and support local businesses while shopping up a storm!
