There’s a new night market on the Gold Coast so get set to feast

It was a sad day indeed when Helensvale's popular NightQuarter close its doors for the last time. Since 2019, the prime site neighbouring Helensvale Westfield has sat vacant (with the exception of a couple of roaming circuses), waiting for someone to come along and do something amazing. Northern GC pals, hold on to your hats because that someone is AMA Event Management and that something is the TwiLit Markets, and it opened for the first time last Friday (November 17). Here's what we know so far ...

The TwiLit Markets will, in many respects, pick up where NightQuarter left off. Held every Friday, Saturday and Sunday night, the new evening event will dish up an enticing array of stalls ranging from locally made wares through to fresh produce and, of course, a mouth-watering selection of food trucks. Featuring an ever-evolving line-up of micro-restaurants, the TwiLit Markets invites your tastebuds on a global adventure with crispy chicken from Southport’s 2 Bros alongside Bavarian Rosti Haus, Greek Recipe, Hungarian Food Factory and Little Italy Food Co. Asian bites will be in abundance with Yumpling Bao, Teppanyaki Noodles by Yamatoumi and Dans Dim Sim Kitchen, among the tempting array of tucker on offer.

What’s a night market without a seriously impressive selection of sweets? Thankfully, you needn’t find out because TwiLit Markets has dessert well and truly covered with Oh Waffles, OMG Donuts and The Donut Guy Au. The TwiLit Markets Helensvale is the ideal outing for the whole family, with a jumping castle and pony rides under the stars for the junior family members.

The TwiLit Markets will run from 5:00–10:00 pm on Friday and Saturdays and from 3:00–8:00 pm on Sundays.
