Sustainable Social is all about socialising with like-minded individuals and promoting sustainability and waste-free ways in a positive, approachable environment. By showcasing different eco-friendly businesses each month, the newly launched market is bringing together like-minded people who want to make a difference – as well as those that are curious about going zero-waste but have no idea where to start. Attendees can try delicious plant-based eats and drinks from the likes of BKA Vegan and sip chai teas as they wander through some of the coast’s favourite eco stalls. The list of vendors varies each month, but there is sure to be regular stalls as the market gains traction.
So, if you’re a loud and proud eco-warrior or even just thinking of ways to reduce your plastic consumption at home, Sustainable Social needs to be in your calendar. Visitors can learn tips and tricks to reduce their waste, with informative talks covering topics like food composting or DIY zero-waste pantries happening at each event. Sustainable Social is held at Karma Collab Hub on the first Sunday of every month from 4:00 pm. For details on upcoming Sustainable Social events, head to the Facebook event page.
