The Sustainable Seafood Dinner, which forms part of The Star’s six-week Seafood Freshtival, will see chef Kelvin Andrews and the team produce a mystery eight-course tasting menu that will showcase some of the best seafood of the season. The exclusive dinner event will take diners on an educational journey, with each course descending deeper into the ocean.
While the courses are being kept under wraps until the night (we love a little suspense), there’s no question that this will be one very indulgent experience. As you’re working your way through the eight courses (served with matched wines), chef Kelvin will be talking you through each dish explaining the environmental and social importance of sustainable fishing. It’s a vital issue that goes largely unnoticed by everyday diners, so what better way to learn about future-proofing our beautiful ocean than by experiencing it first hand from a cutting-edge kitchen where sustainability and regional produce is paramount.
The Sustainable Seafood Dinner kicks off at 6:00 pm on Thursday May 16. For bookings and more information, head to The Star website.
