From daring aerobatics to world-class fireworks displays – this year’s SeaFire is set ignite and surprise

Australia's only international fireworks competition will illuminate the iconic Surfers Paradise skyline on with a rainbow of neon explosions on Friday May 31 and Saturday June 1, as five of the world’s top pyrotechnic teams battle it out for the title in the annual SeaFire extravaganza. With over 130,000 visitors expected to hit the beach to get a glimpse of the coast’s largest public spectacle, attendees can expect to not only see world-class fireworks at this year’s event, but so much more.

This year’s SeaFire will see teams from Australia, the Philippines, the USA, South Korea and New Zealand showcase their carefully choreographed pyrotechnic skills as the upbeat soundtrack brings the beach to life. With 12 tonnes of fireworks, eight jet skis and sixteen skydivers across two massive nights, this year’s SeaFire is set to be nothing short of spectacular. Revellers can also check out plenty of pre-show entertainment, including a variety of beachfront markets and a range of multicultural performances representing Bali, Japan, Cuba, the Philippines, Thailand and Korea. If you enjoy a boogie, this year’s event is sure to get you up on your feet, with the talented Punjabi Bhangra and Bollywood group dance performances, as well as hula dancing, energetic Afro-Latin dance, Japanese drums and much more!

SeaFire 2019 is sure to excite even the biggest adrenaline junkies out there, with plenty of action-packed displays set to wow the crowds. Get ready to see aerobatic and skydive displays, followed by a skydive show where daring stuntmen decked out in the loudest and brightest fireworks fall from the sky to the crowds below. Still not sold? How about the lightning-fast pyromania stuntmen show where jet ski riders perform aqua tricks, leaving a trail of light in their wake. Get ready to see the sky (and water) filled with blazing explosions of colour in this one-of-a-kind presentation of skill and expertise!

SeaFire 2019 will hit the Surfers Paradise beachfront on May 31 and June 1 for two spectacular nights. For more info, head to our Events Guide.
