Celebrity chefs, winemakers and brewers converge for all-new foodie festival Sunsets by Sanctuary Cove

The countdown is on for the Gold Coast's newest foodie festival Sunsets by Sanctuary Cove, which will bring together some of the country's leading chefs, winemakers, craft-beer brewers and gourmet food trucks for a weekend of deliciousness from July 27–28. Whether you're a champagne and caviar person, prefer pinot and a punchy cheese, or are the beer and burrito type, there will be plenty for you to bite and sip across the entire weekend. Here's a taste of what's in store.

Headlining the inaugural Sunsets by Sanctuary Cove is Australian celebrity chef Matt Gollinski and renowned chef, restaurateur and owner of Brisbane Italian restaurant Tartufo, Tony Percuoco, who will both be hosting live interactive cooking demonstrations. Matt Gollinski will be showcasing his culinary prowess on the Saturday, followed by Tony Percuoco on the Sunday. After soaking up the knowledge, tips and tricks, follow your nose to feast on a diverse collection of street-style eats from some of the region’s most popular food trucks – there will be everything from woodfired Mexican to decadent gourmet mac’n’cheese, Spanish paella, and for those that like the finer things – blinis with caviar. Or, if you’re looking to take time out with a full dining experience, all of Sanctuary Cove’s restaurants and cafes will be dishing up their favourites both day and night.

Festival goers will also be able to enjoy the best seasonal wines throughout the two-day event, with more than 40 renowned local, national and international wineries lining the streets of the Marine Village to exhibit their finest drops. The keen wine connoisseurs among us can start sipping early, with the festival also incorporating the return of the popular six-course Winemakers Dinner, which is being held on Friday July 26 at InterContinental Sanctuary Cove Resort (you can get tickets to that over here). If you’re a beer lover, then kick back and taste your way through a line-up of 15 of Australia’s top beer and cider makers, who will each be pouring tasters, glasses and tins of their best brews. The action doesn’t stop at the food and drink – you’ll be able to treat your ears as well as your tastebuds with blues and roots sensation Ash Grunwald and legendary Australian musician Russell Morris both taking the stage. Ash Grunwald will wow the crowds after dark with live show under the stars on Saturday night, while Russell Morris will provide the sounds for the ultimate Sunday afternoon. Food, wine, beer and music – what more could you want in a weekend?

Tickets to Sunsets by Sanctuary Cove are on sale now. For more information and to purchase tickets, head to the Sunsets by Sanctuary Cove website.
