Brand-new permanent food precinct The Night Market to bring eats, treats and live beats every week

When NightQuarter closed its doors, it left a sizeable hole in our heats and stomachs. On Friday October 11, The Night Market – a brand-new permanent market concept – launched in Carrara with big hopes to fill the void left by the now defunct Helensvale food and music precinct.

The Night Market is an exciting new concept from the team behind the longstanding Carrara Markets, which has operated on the Gold Coast for more than 40 years. The new permanent fixture (held within the Carrara Markets grounds near the Gooding Drive roundabout) will deliver a kaleidoscope of food, music and entertainment in a family-friendly atmosphere every Friday and Saturday night from 5:00–9:00 pm.

Around 30 cafes, food stalls and bars will operate in the market precinct, with a broad range of international cuisines on offer each night including Japanese, Korean, Indian, Vietnamese, Chinese, Greek, Turkish, Polish and more. There will be three entertainment zones featuring different styles of music from a rotating line-up of local talent, while custom-car enthusiasts can soak up the bling at the Car & Shine Show, which will be on display in a reserved parking area. You’ll be able to do some shopping while you’re at it, with around 150 of Carrara Markets’ daytime operators to open for late-night shopping while the food markets are in full swing.

There’s free parking, though entry to The Night Market is $3. Each entry will receive a $4 credit to be used at the three market bars or at the kids attractions. For more information, head to The Night Market website and Facebook.
