Enjoy a not-so-silent night under the stars at the 2017 Mayor’s Christmas Carols

It's official –  December is upon us and the Christmas countdown has begun! You know what that means, don't you? The Christmas tree goes up, the credit cards begin to run hot and Mariah Carey's Christmas album gets put on repeat (we know you all do it). If, like us, you're bursting at the seams with excitement that it's now that time of year where it's socially acceptable to blast the festive tunes, then you'll want to pull out the picnic rug for a not-so-silent night at the Mayor’s Christmas Carols presented by Mercedes-Benz Gold Coast on Saturday December 2.

Southport’s Broadwater Parklands will transform into a magical Christmas wonderland, providing the perfect backdrop for one of the most impressive musical line ups the Mayor’s Christmas Carols has seen. The stage will be brought to life by headline acts Christine Anu, Emma Pask and Prinnie Stevens, who will be spreading the Christmas vibes with everybody’s favourite festive sounds alongside supporting acts The Paradise Kids Choir featuring Luke Harrison, Petrina Zaphir, Candice Dianna, The Lamplights and Swing Central. The spirited evening will be hosted by television personality and Mercedes-Benz Gold Coast ambassador Shelley Craft and Galey, Mal and Moyra from 1029 Hot Tomato.

There will be a huge line up of food trucks in the parklands, with plenty of delicious food and drink options to satisfy your North Pole-sized hunger. If you’ve got the little people in tow, then you’ll want to head down nice and early on Saturday December 2 – the interactive kid’s fun will commence at 2:00 pm before the main jam kicks into gear at 5:00 pm. After you’ve enjoyed the sounds, sights and tastes, then cast your eyes to the sky at 9:00 pm to catch the massive fireworks display. Seriously, what a way to swing into the most wonderful time of the year!

Head to the City of Gold Coast website for more info.
