For those a little unfamiliar, Lobster & Co. was a pop-up sensation in 2017 and 2018 that made mouths water along Australia’s east coast. Labelled as a bucket-list-worthy dining experience, hungry folk were have said to be travelling from over 100 km away to treat their tastebuds to the buttery, succulent goodness of the whole lobster tail rolls. Now, the seafood-slinging team is coming to Northern New South Wales, parking up at Kingscliff Beach Bowls Club on the Wednesday January 26 public holiday and sticking around until Sunday January 30. This time around, the Lobster & Co. crew will be flinging the rapture-inducing rolls from a custom-made, vintage stainless steel food caravan. This super-cute kitchen on wheels will be surrounded by a dining area complete with white-picket fencing, umbrellas and plenty of tables and seats to perch while you wrap your mitts around your ocean-caught nosh.
It would be remiss of us to not let you know, dear readers, a little bit more about Lobster & Co.’s limited-edition sea treat. Its famous lobster roll creation will have you salivating on site – the wild-caught whole-confit Australian lobster tail is served warm in a caramelised brioche bun and finished with a creamy buttermilk fennel slaw. Naturally, no meal is complete without a side of chippies and this will be no exception – every lobster roll comes served with a side of golden parmesan truffle fries. To take your meal to the next level, we suggest wrapping your claws – and your lips – around a crisp glass of G.H. Mumm Champagne. Talk about fancy!
Lobster & Co. will be residing at Kingscliff Beach Bowls Club from January 26–30, with its famous lobster rolls and truffle fries combo priced at $50 and a flute of French champagne an extra $20. A little siren also told us that Lobster & Co. will be coming to Brisbane from February 11–27 – that’s plenty opportunity to make like a lobster and snap to it.
