Take a virtual trip through our land down under – Tourism Australia presents Live from Aus

Travelling is a bit of a sore spot right now – overseas trips are currently a no-go and even interstate travel is still banned – but that won't stop us from planning our next holiday. Set to inspire some serious domestic wanderlust, Tourism Australia has curated an entire weekend – aptly named Live from Aus – of exclusive access to some of the most awe-inspiring travel experiences Australia has to offer. So tune in from Saturday May 16 to Sunday May 17 to enjoy some dead-set amazing travel content – think iconic Aussie landmarks, award-winning restaurants, cuddly koalas and workouts with Chris Hemsworth's trainers.

From 7:00 am Saturday to 10:00 pm Sunday, the Live from Aus experiences will be live streamed on Tourism Australia’s Facebook page and YouTube channel – every hour, on the hour. On Saturday, wake up bright and early for a sweat session with Thor’s trainers, then have a boogie with The Wiggles, head to a cheesemaking class live from Yarra Valley then dive into an underwater tour of the Great Barrier Reef. Finally, soak up a sunset from Uluru before you (virtually) rally up some mates to help tackle some brainteasers at an Aussie pub trivia night.

On Sunday, say namaste at an early morning yoga class in Byron Bay, then catch some mud crabs at Cooya Beach before sitting down for a brunch with Three Blue Ducks. Afterwards, there will be a crikey-worthy croc encounter with Matt Wright, a true-blue barbecue with Hayden Quinn, encounters with kangaroos, penguin parades at Phillip Island and a quick trip to the Sydney Opera House. To finish off with a swan song, some yet-to-be-announced homegrown artists will come together for a Sunday session with Sounds Australia.

For the full list of live experiences, special-guest hosts and to RSVP to the event, make tracks here. To quote Lara Bingle in the iconic 2006 ad (back when ScoMo was the Tourism Australia MD) “Where the bloody hell are you?”.
