The temperature might be plummeting, but things are heating up at HOTA in preparation for its Hawker Night Markets. The family-friendly event kicks off at 4:00 pm, so you can roll out a rug on the green and bask in the last of the day’s rays before admiring the stunning backdrop of Evendale Lake against the Surfers skyline at night. When those first pangs of hunger hit, you can browse a crowd-pleasing array of international bites, ranging from authentic Asian delicacies such as steaming hand-wrapped dumplings, spicy banh mi, sizzling wagyu beef and much more. With so many different cuisines on offer, there’s guaranteed to be something for every whim and taste – even for the fussiest of little eaters among us.
After you’ve eaten your way around the world, you can meander through upwards of 150 unique stalls illuminated by dazzling lanterns or retire to your rug and soak in the magical atmosphere with a mega-talented line-up of local bands and performers to keep the good vibes humming all night long. There will be roving street performers with fire tricks, stilts and even Chinese Lion dancers to make your night extra special!
