If you were lucky enough to experience the sell-out Hellenika Long Lunch last year (you can have a squiz at the snaps from the 2018 event here), you’ll share our stomach-rumbling excitement for the 2019 instalment. The event sees the entire Miami Marketta laneway lined with long tables to create a true Greek atmosphere – think deliciously authentic food, live music, wine, chatter, and later in the afternoon – a little bit of zorba dancing.

The Hellenika team has curated a delicious menu, which will roll out to diners from 1:00 pm. You’ll start with taramosalata, gavros (anchovies) and psarosoupa (fish soup), before moving onto the char-grilled octopus, the saganaki and veal dolmades.  Next up, you’ll be tucking into whole snappers with a village-style salads, before the famous baked Junee lamb with lemon potatoes makes an appearance. To finish, it’s galaktoboureko (custard filo) and fresh watermelon.
