Soak up tastebud-tantalising tutorials and tempting tucker at Regional Flavours’ Grazed and Grown event

Slip into the weekend with a few friends, fanciful sips and only the finest fare when Grazed and Grown by Regional Flavours fires up at South Bank Parklands from June 18–20. So you know how to spend your time wisely at this culinary event, we've cooked up an itinerary full of delicious happenings including sundowner sessions, flavoursome food tutorials and live tunes. Read on to find out what you can get up to at Grazed and Grown ...

Friday
The first day of Grazed and Grown is jam-packed, to say the least. If Seaspiracy was on your early 2021 watch list, then you’re probably well aware of the importance of sustainable seafood. Learn more about how you can tread gently on our seas with celebrity chef Matt Moran at The Kitchen before making your way to The Marketplace to discover some delightfully delectable bites from local producers. The afternoon brings more farm-fresh goodness at Meet The Maker: Farm Tales, where you can strap in for some interesting foodie facts and behind-the-scenes titbits. Wash all of this new knowledge down with a gin tipple (or two) at Cocktail Hour with Brookies while instrumental quintet Accomplice Collective takes to The Country Club Stage. Did someone say TGIF?

Saturday
Saturday continues to deliver a salivation-inducing selection of foodie events to check out. First cab off the rank is Waste Not, Want Not with superstar chef Alanna Sapwell, where the culinary wiz will teach event-goers a few tips and tricks of waste-free cooking. Aussie produce will take centre stage at Around the Table: How to Cook with Native Ingredients and the afternoon will bring delicious local drops to the forefront with Meet the Maker: From the Vineyard. Live tunes will be supplied by eight-piece ensemble Pocket Love, which will liven up the atmosphere during the day, followed by the Andrea Kirwin Trio bringing electrifying beats in the evening.

Sunday
They say good things come in threes, so it only makes sense that the third and final day of Grazed and Grown is full to the brim with exciting happenings. Kick off the final day off the festival with Stanley Restaurant head chef Louis Tikaram’s Easy Asian at Home cooking tutorial and pick up a few need-to-know cooking secrets. After you’ve strolled around The Marketplace and scored some tasty tucker for lunch, celebrate local fare with Ready Steady Cook alum Alastair McLeod before becoming acquainted with foodie Amber Tales at the final Meet the Maker session. Spend the rest of your afternoon soaking in some live blues courtesy of local musicians Band of Frequencies while stocking up on local produce from The Marketplace to fill your fridge at home with – hellooooo, cheese!

Make haste, fellow foodies! There are just a few tickets remaining for Grazed and Grown. Snap some up here or peep the full event program here
