The annual event, which kicks off at the Gold Coast Exhibition and Convention Centre on Friday January 19 and runs through until Sunday January 21, is dedicated to food, wine, kitchenware, homewares, cheeses and everything gourmet. Entry to the event includes free (yes, free!) gourmet tastings plus around-the-clock wine and cheese appreciation classes for those keen to get schooled on everything from camembert to pinot noir. If you’re feeling a little bit fancy, then make tracks to the Oyster Bar where you can relax, sip sparkling wine and soak up the buzzing foodie vibes – or you can hit the burger bar if that’s more your style.
The celebrity cooking stage will be in full-swing over the three days, with free demonstrations from MasterChef star Ben Milbourne and My Kitchen Rules celebrities Carly and Tresne and Tasia and Gracia – plus, you’ll be able to get your hot little hands on each of the recipes! If you’re a true food lover, then the Celebrity Dining Experience is a must – it’s an intimate lunch or dinner degustation (including matching wines) with Ben Milbourne, who will prepare each of the dishes from his own carefully crafted six-course menu before sitting down to join you for the fine feast.
