Take advantage of your last chance to wine and dine at Eagle Street Pier

Unless you've been living under quite a large rock, you're probably well aware that Brisbane City dining and entertainment precinct Eagle Street Pier is set to close in mid-July. With mere weeks left to go until some of our favourite eateries shutter, it's now or never to feast, frolic and say farewell to The Pier in style. Here's some of the final dining deals that you can experience at Eagle Street Pier ...

Eagle Street Pier might be closing, but that doesn’t mean that the party’s over quite yet. Diners in the mood for some decadence can put their pinkies up for a lavish high tea at Mr & Mrs G Riverbar, which plates up the likes of buttery mini croissants with prawn and bug, brioche toast with pear, blue cheese, walnuts and honey, sweetened fresh cinnamon donuts with mixed berries alongside free-flowing Moet et Chandon and gin cocktails. Those hungry for some Asian-inspired cuisine can hop over to Naga Thai, which is also offering a special set banquet menu for $49. Think coconut and turmeric pork shoulder curry, Massaman beef milk buns, and five-spice soya duck rice noodle rolls. German favourite The Bavarian is dishing up the likes of sticky Vegemite chicken wings, bratwurst served with mash, sauerkraut, mustard and gravy, and mega-stacked chicken schnitzels topped with barbecue wings, bacon, and egg.

Grape juice lovers can get their fix at City Winery’s Cellar Door, while those harbouring an appetite can savour sunset sips and snacks at COPPA or munch on meaty morsels at Fatcow Steak & Lobster. Indulge in a omakase set menu at Saké Restaurant & Bar, where miso-glazed Ora king salmon, A5 Kagoshima wagyu nigiri and grilled duck breast await, or make the most of Rico Bar & Dining’s weekday special, where hungry folk can snack on a selection of six tapas paired with either a bottle of wine, a jug of sangria or beer for $69. The farewell festivities will be amped up at the Eagle Street Pier Mumm Champagne Pop-Up Bar from Thursday to Saturday until June 25, where you’ll be able to raise a glass of bubbles by the river. Plus, every Friday you will be treated to a dazzling fireworks display and roving entertainment across the precinct.
