The glorious lawn area at Garden Kitchen & Bar at The Star Gold Coast will come to life on Friday October 12 for its first Dinner Under the Stars event. Showcasing Garden’s new share-style dining concept, the evening will see diners dotted along an elegant long-table setting under the sparkling stars. You’ll start your night with canapes and a welcome drink on the deck to the tune of acoustic beats, before the main event begins – a sumptuous eight-course share-style dinner.
With house-made damper and lemon-myrtle butter on the side, the menu dances across both the land and sea. For entree, think king prawns in a half shell with Noosa tomatoes and picked garden herbs, duck breast with cherry compote, white asparagus and artichoke chips, and open-grilled flat mushrooms with strawberry-gum seasoning and goats cheese. For the main share plates there will be saltbush-marinated lamb shoulder with garden-pea puree, sugar snap peas and tendrils, smoked chicken with oven-roasted kipflers and charred leeks, and house hot smoked salmon with fennel, compressed melon and quinoa crisps. Try and save room for dessert – you won’t want to miss out on the baked banana and wattleseed pudding with custard and finger-lime ice-cream. What a dream.
