Get ready to be transported to the sweet surroundings of the south of France – this year’s instalment of Le Dîner en Blanc Gold Coast will be held on Saturday September 4. The hush-hush dining experience, which launched in Paris in 1988 and on the Gold Coast in 2017, will see more than 1000 diners come together for an unforgettable evening of sipping and snacking. As usual, the location of the event will be kept under wraps until the night, with the venue revealed to lucky ticket holders just minutes before the commencement of the event.
For those who haven’t attended this mysterious picnic in the past, here’s how it works. Diners are asked to come along dressed head to toe in white – and the dress code is very important. You’re required to bring your own picnic feast, or you can order a pre-prepared gourmet basket that’s available to pick up on the day. Dîner en Blanc also requires diners to bring their own tables, chairs, fine china, silverware and white tablecloths to a central meeting point, before being whisked off to the surprise location for the night’s festivities. Over the course of the evening, Dîner en Blanc attendees are encouraged to eat and celebrate amongst live entertainment. All you have to do at the at the end of the evening is pack up your belongings, make sure you take your litter and then the rest of the night is your oyster.
Le Dîner en Blanc Gold Coast will be held on Saturday September 4. Registrations are now open, so we suggest joining the wait list pronto for your best chance at securing tickets.
EDITOR’S NOTE: Due to the uncertainty surrounding the recent Gold Coast COVID lockdown, Le Dîner en Blanc Gold Coast has made the necessary decision to change the date of its 2021 event from Saturday September 4 to Saturday March 19, 2022.
