Love beer, cider and all things boozy and bubbly? This next piece of news is for you – Crafted Beer Festival is back for another year, and you can take your pick from 400 delectable drops from more than 50 of the nation's best craft breweries, cideries and seltzer makers. The 2023 edition is raising the bar to be frothier than ever, taking over Kurrawa Park in Broadbeach on September 9 and 10. Here's a taste of what's on offer ...

We hope you’re thirsty because Crafted Beer Festival is set to unleash a whistle-wetting line-up of hot-off-the-canning-line brews, including festival exclusives, limited releases and a steady flow of the classics you love. Some of the familiar faces you’ll see include Precinct Brewing Co, Soapbox Beer, Straddie Brewing Co, Fortitude Brewing Co., Madocke Beer Brewing Company, Revel Brewing Co, Currumbin Valley Brewing and much more. Local gin distillery Granddad Jack’s will be once again slinging G&Ts and cocktails from their two-storey vintage bar, while Carafe Wine will be pouring a selection of wines from some of Australia’s premier wine regions. The Carafe Wine team will also be hosting wine-and-cheese tasting sessions on Sunday, which can be purchased on top of day and weekend passes.

Now, responsible service of alcohol means you’ll need a little something-something to help soak up the booze, and Crafted has called in the big guns to ensure you don’t leave hungry. Will it be a salivation-inducing slice from Italian Pizzas, some saucy wings from Cycho’s Buffalo Wings, a pillowy-soft bao from Meat Buns, a gooey raclette from Church Mouse Cheese, or some sweet, cinnamon-coated morsels from Gluten Free Donuts? Dance off the carb-loaded snacks by the stage, which will be brimming with stellar live acts all weekend. Saturday will see Sydney’s Polish Club hit the stage alongside Ska soul-splosion band Fat Picnic, femme-punk band Being Jane Lane, and indie-rockers The Dandys. Sunday slows things down with Gold Coast favourites Tijuana Cartel, as well as Kurilpa Reach, Nana Klumpp, Ruby Gilbert and The Colliflowers. Beer yoga is making another comeback this year, alongside comedy sessions, tipsy Twister, and the hot wing eating competition run by Cycho’s. You’ll definitely need an ice-cold beer after that.

Is all this beer chat making you a little thirsty? Tickets to the Crafted Beer Festival are on sale now, so grab yours, gather some mates and a picnic blanket and say cheers to a tasty weekend in the sun.
