Buskers by the Creek will this year adopt a colourful Brazilian theme, so expect plenty of Brazilian acts, roaming dancers, sequins and bling across a series of fun-filled events. The two-day live-music festival kicks off with some pre-event action on Friday October 12 with Battle of the Buskers at Currumbin Pub, where 14 singer-songwriters will battle it out for their chance to win a career-changing prize pool. Come Saturday, the Currumbin creekside will spring to life with buskers of all types and ages performing for the crowds (that’s you), creating a unique and eclectic atmosphere.
Attendees are encouraged to dig deep and tip the incredible entertainers over the course of Buskers by the Creek – the acts that you see are paid solely through your loose change, so fill up your generous pants with coins and throw it in their hats! There will be plenty of international food options available throughout the precinct, while Chandon S spritzers and Stone & Wood will be flowing at the Brazilian-inspired Bar Copacabana, which will be floating on the creek and open from 10:00am to 6:00 pm on both days.
The full program can be found on the Buskers by the Creek website.
