So, here’s the deal – the Burleigh Brewing Outdoor Cinema will be held on the last Thursday of each month. This ain’t no run-of-the-mill projector screen though – this a proper high-tech super-fancy set up to give you a real-deal cinematic experience under the stars. There will be long Bavarian-style tables, high-top bars and beach chairs to settle into, as well as artisan snack boxes with local meats, cheeses and dips for purchase. The flicks will generally be rated 18+, so no little people allowed.
The doors will open at 6:00 pm so you can get started on one of the 12 craft beers on tap (or wine or soft drink if you’re that way inclined) before the movie starts. Beers are available in a schooner or you can get around two-litre glower with the crew. Though, the pre-movie fun won’t just be about the beer – the team are planning to screen short films from local filmmakers prior to the main movie each month. What if it rains, you say? No stress, the cinema will be set up inside the brewery if the weather is being a jerk. The first Burleigh Brewing Outdoor Cinema event will be held on Thursday July 26.
