You can’t keep a good thing down – Bluesfest has been rescheduled to this October

One of our country’s greatest musical gatherings, Byron Bay Bluesfest, has just made a huge announcement – it's back in business this October and is serving up a starry roster of homegrown talent.

‘I get knocked down, but I get up again’ has never rung truer than in the instance of Bluesfest 2020–2021. Canned in 2020 due to COVID only to be cancelled again in 2021 just one day before it was meant to commence (for the same unfortunate reason), you could say the festival – and its organisers – have been through it. But, like a beautiful phoenix rising from the ashes, Bluesfest is back and bringing with it an all-star line-up of Aussie acts – with the likes of Midnight Oil, Paul Kelly, Tash Sultana and Jimmy Barnes all taking the stage. They’ll be joined by Ocean Alley, Ziggy Alberts, John Butler, Xavier Rudd, The Cat Empire, Pete Murray, Kate Ceberano and many more.

With plenty of other acts making up the mammoth show bill, this is going to be one not-to-be-missed comeback. Keen to jam along to the stellar array of talent? Bluesfest takes over the Tyagarah Tea Tree Farm from October 1–4 2021 and season tickets are set to go on sale at 9:00 am on Thursday May 20 via Moshtix.
