Attica’s Ben Shewry is heading to Harvest Newrybar for a once-in-a-lifetime dining experience

Iconic Australian chef Ben Shewry, the brilliant mind behind three-hatted Melbourne restaurant Attica (which this year reached number 20 on the World’s 50 Best Restaurants list) is coming to Byron Bay for an exclusive once-in-a-lifetime dining experience. It's happening on Wednesday May 1 at Harvest Newrybar – this is a true bucket-list situation, friends, so do not miss out.


Ben Shewry will leave bustling Melbourne for the humble surrounds of the Byron Bay hinterland to join the Wild Harvest Chefs Series for one night only. The dining event on Wednesday May 1 will see him join Harvest’s Alastair Waddell and wild food researcher Peter Hardwick for a day of foraging in the nearby hinterland and coastal pockets. Armed with local under-utilised native Australian ingredients, the trio will then put their culinary minds together to produce a one-off five-course menu for the evening.

Diners will also be treated to a special range of AURUM Modern Mead from French winemaker Louis Costa, which utilises ancient mead-making techniques using local Australian honey and native ingredients like strawberry gum, rosella flower and feral guava leaf. If you’ve had dreams of dining at Attica, but have never quite made it down to Melbourne for the famed three-hatted experience, then this is a very unique chance to experience some of Ben Shewry’s greatness a little closer to home.
