Wander eco-accommodation is designed to facilitate connections – with each other, nature and the communities that surround them. The first location, Wander at The Overflow 1895, overlooks Lake Wyaralong in the Scenic Rim, the traditional home of the Yugambeh clans, less than 1.5-hours’ drive from Brisbane or Gold Coast airports. Set amongst bushland and overlooking a winery, Wander at The Overflow 1895 invites you into an immersive nature-based experience, where you are both the guide and tourist. Surrounded by the majestic mountains of the ancient volcanic caldera, guests can enjoy awe-inspiring views, waterfalls, grasslands, birds and wildlife and discover meaningfully curated local experiences co-designed exclusively for Wander guests. The intention of each of the locations is to invite visitors into the story of the local community, which is bolstered by partnerships with local food and beverage operators. At this particular location, Wander has collaborated with Gen Windley and local farmers at the Scenic Rim Farm Box to hand-pick a selection of locally produced foods that can be delivered directly to your WanderPod.
Wander at The Overflow 1895 currently offers five private one- or two-bedroom WanderPods that pioneer sustainable luxury and simplicity. With a light environmental footprint, each pod is grounded in beautiful, purposeful design and features king beds, floor-to-ceiling glass and your own private kitchenette. While you’re there, Wander guests can access extraordinary experiences in the Scenic Rim that have been curated and developed by locals, including sampling delicious seasonal produce straight from the farm, private hot-air-balloon rides, on-site yoga, meditation and massage, or bespoke walking tours of the region with a local guide to tell you the stories of an ancient land. Wander offers the chance to truly connect with Country, community and yourself.
