The City of Gold Coast has put out the call for an artist to create an urban oasis at the bustling intersection of Surfers Paradise Boulevard and Elkhorn Avenue. The competition is open to local, national and international artists and the final artwork is expected to reflect the unique character of the Gold Coast and ignite the imagination of both locals and visitors.
An independent jury, chaired by Robyn Archer AO, the City’s Arts and Culture Strategic Advisor, will select up to five finalists and invite them to develop their designs further. The submission deadline is AEST 11:00 am Wednesday December 16 so get cracking! For more information, visit the Urban Oasis Public Art Competition page.
