Fill your home with magical Moroccan wares from Tigmi Trading

From its enchanting new space at Newrybar Merchants, Tigmi Trading is showcasing the beauty of responsibly sourced, hand-crafted homewares from Morocco and around the world. The bright and colourful collection features a series of modern and vintage pieces that promote function and craftsmanship whilst adding warmth and texture to your home.

There’s something particularly magical about Moroccan homewares – you get a feeling that each piece has a real story that spans a little further than the quality craftsmanship and area of origin. Moroccan patterns and textures are centuries old, yet they have found a place in the ever-changing world of modern homewares. It’s this depth of history that Tigmi Trading owner Danielle McEwan seeks when sourcing each piece, driven by an aim to support centuries of traditional production methods by master artisans across the globe.

Tigmi Trading has unearthed a collection that includes beautifully rare Berber rugs, bean bags made from vintage Moroccan blankets, cushions in both colourful and neutral tones made from a variety of traditional materials, and a range of blankets and textiles that can be used as bed covers, throws, drapes, or as wall hangings. The amazing handwoven Moroccan and Turkish towels are a must-have this summer, along with the range of beach bags and the African-print terry towelling beach clutches – we’re slightly obsessed with these and want (need) one in every colour. What sets Tigmi Trading apart is that each piece supports artisans, their families and villages and ensures the continuation of hand-craft traditions through true practices of sustainability and fair trade. You can head to Newrybar Merchants to checkout the Tigmi Trading showcase and view the range online.
