Tigmi Trading opens a brand-new space in the heart of Byron Bay

Tigmi Trading, a boutique retailer of some of the most amazing Moroccan-inspired homewares, has opened a new space in Byron Bay. Owner and Byron Bay local Danielle McEwan has opened the doors to the impressive new premises, which adjoins the renowned Tamar Gallery that is run by local artist Jai Vasicek.

The new Byron Bay space, located on Marvel Street, is an exciting new addition for Tigmi Trading – it also operates a glorious space out of Newrybar Merchants, which we introduced you to late last year. The new seaside digs incorporates more of a contemporary aesthetic from its fit-out to furnishings, proving the ideal space to showcase the impeccable style seen across Tigmi Trading’s perfectly curated collections. Step inside and you’ll be drawn to the handiwork of Steve Clark from Den Holm, who was engaged to create a series of sculptural bespoke display pieces out of limestone and marble terrazzo.

Tigmi Trading is renowned for unearthing the beauty of responsibly sourced, hand-crafted homewares from Morocco and around the world. The collections feature a unique mix of contemporary and vintage pieces that promote function and craftsmanship, whilst adding warmth and texture to your home. It can be difficult to balance sophistication with the relaxed nature of the beach environments, but we reckon Tigmi Trading nails it with this new space, which embraces the ‘perfect imperfections’ of  handmade wares.
