Budds Beach is set to be transformed with $1.25 billion La Pelago development

The latest luxury development to hit the coast has just been unveiled, with La Pelago set to become the newest in sky-high lodgings located in the central Gold Coast Suburb of Budds Beach.

Coming to 112 Ferny Avenue, the transformative Budds Beach project La Pelago will be brought to life by veteran Melbourne-based developer Gurner. The project will be set across four luxurious towers – comprised of three residential towers and one providing short-term accommodation – totalling 13,000 sqm of prime real estate. The sought-after suburb is known for its central location and proximity to both the beach and the waterways, with this enviable lifestyle offering serving as the inspiration for La Pelago – named after the sheltered Italian enclave and designed to evoke the feel of a hot and sunny private island.

Four towers will be built on the site and landscaped in a verdant tropical fashion while featuring waterways between each, bringing to life the island feel. First details of the project have just been released, and include over 5500 sqm of amenities including both retail and commercial facilities alongside a day spa and a business club, along with poolside water retreats. Designed by Melbourne-based architect Warren Mahoney, the $1.25 billion project will be a first for the Gold Coast and plans to capitalise on a growing demand for large-format luxury development. Delivering a total of 1088 apartments including those that comprise the yet-to-be-announced five-star hotel, La Pelago will change the face of the tranquil beachside suburb.
