Finalists announced for Belle Coco Republic Interior Design Awards 2019

Design envy has hit new heights this month as the finalists for one of the most anticipated awards events were announced.

The finalists for the Belle Coco Republic Interior Design Awards 2019 have been announced – and one spectacular Queensland venue has made the cut. The one-and-only Burleigh Pavilion by Sydney’s Alexander &CO. has been shortlisted in the Best Hospitality Interior category, alongside Rick Stein at Bannisters Port Stephens, Edition Roasters, Hotel Collectionist and Rose Bay Hotel. Now in its ninth year, the event aims to raise the bar in the Australian interior design industry by celebrating innovation and expertise among emerging designers, as well as more established names.

The Belle Coco Republic Interior Design Awards 2019 received more than 300 submissions across residential, hospitality and commercial sectors, making Burleigh Pavilion’s inclusion as a finalist all the more impressive. Designed by principal architects Jeremy Bull, Sophie Harris and Samantha Birtles, and interior designers Charlene Cong, Jay Sethasastrakorn, Madison Fay and Lucy Forlico, Burleigh Beach Pavilion is a quintessential coastal beach structure featuring corbeled blockwork, exposed structures and faded pastels. The winners of the Belle Coco Republic Interior Design Awards 2019 will be announced at an invitation-only event at Coco Republic in Sydney on Tuesday May 21. The winning designers and their work will also be published in Belle magazine’s June/July issue, on sale this month.
